If you understand your nonprofit’s community - who they are, what they value about your organization, and how best to communicate with them – your organization will benefit in countless ways. Whether you are seeking to raise awareness, running a fundraising campaign, or simply looking for volunteers, your loyal community is the key to your success.
We’re bringing in community experts Hannah Jacobson, Director of Marketing, Development & Strategy at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, and Erika West, Director of the Raben Group, to share important takeaways and tips to help you grow and empower your organization's community.

In this webinar, we explore:
- The purpose of your organization’s community
- How to harness the power of data to target community growth
- Thinking beyond the grassroots (without forgeting about it)

About the Speakers:

Hannah Jacobson is the Director of Marketing, Development & Strategy at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW). Hannah is thrilled to apply her experience to carrying the CHAW mission of building community through the arts far and wide.

Prior to joining CHAW, she managed a major public art project; worked three years at Americans for the Arts; Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery; Society for the Arts in Healthcare; and more. She currently serves as a board member of CHAMPS, the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce.

Hannah graduated from Yale University with a BA with honors in History of Art. She has been a performer all her life, and is deeply committed to driving the arts nonprofit field forward by engaging with communities to foster positive change.

Erika West is a Director at The Raben Group where she crafts strategic advocacy campaigns to advance missions and goals, such as: diversity and equity; reproductive freedom; and opportunity for communities of color, women and girls.

Prior to joining Raben, Erika served as the Political Director at NARAL Pro-Choice America, overseeing the federal PAC, electoral and ballot measure campaigns, and political message development. In addition to NARAL, Erika has worked in field and finance positions for gubernatorial and senate candidates in Arkansas and Michigan.

Erika earned her undergraduate degree from Howard University, and M.A. in Political Management from George Washington University. She is a native and lover of Detroit.
